i used to have trouble remembering how daylight savings worked, heh... so i had a special way just for myself, based - of course - on feelings. i remember in the spring, there was always this one day that i was a little bit sadder. so of course that meant i got one hour less of sleep.
yeah, the typical: "spring forward, fall back" didn't really work, i mean, doesn't "spring back, fall forward" work just as well? i mean, people fall on their face all the time (fall forward), and who hasn't sprung back in fear when they've seen something scary? exactly.
anyway, so my german coworkers were talking about how it has been getting dark even earlier nowadays as winter approaches. i remember when i first got here during the summer it used to get dark around 9 (starting to) or 10pm (for reals) but nowadays it starts around 7 or 8pm. anyway, they said it would get even worse once we gained (?) an hour. they were saying how it gets depressing because you would go to work when it's dark (those that like to go at 7am or so...shudders...) and then you leave work and it's dark.
AH! but what happened to my memory trick? that means...means... >.<
